February 28, 1947 - February 25, 2020
It is with great sadness that the family of Clyde E. Kennell announce his sudden passing on Tuesday, February 25th, 2020 at the age of 72. He was born on February 28th 1947 in Washington, PA to the late Clyde Andrew and Jessie P. Kennell. Clyde grew up working on the family's dairy farm until he enlisted in the United States Navy and serving in the Vietnam War. Clyde retired from Byers Chevrolet where he did what he loved doing, working on cars. He spent his time hunting and working around the house and yard. He liked to watch NASCAR, his favorite driver was Dale Earnhardt and his favorite saying was "put him (Jimmy Johnson) in the wall!". He also liked having a good time with his family and friends. He was always willing to lend a helping hand when asked and would do whatever it took to get the job done. He is survived by his partner of 40 years, Candace. Daughters Michele (Mike) and Brenda (Brad). Sisters Ruby and Gloria and Brother Kenneth. Grandchildren Kristina and Kevin and great grandchildren Devin, Damon and Madilynn and also several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his sister's Sylvia and Catherine, brother Earnest and grandson Michael. A private family gathering has taken place and the family suggests a memorial contribution be sent to: Alzheimer's Association Central Ohio Chapter 1379 Dublin Road Columbus, OH 43215 The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at the Heart & Hope Funeral Home for their care and compassion.
