February 6, 1988 - July 23, 2021
Antonio (Tony) Lige Washington II aka "Mann", 33 yrs old was born to Patty A. Martin and Antonio L. Washington on February 6th, 1988 in Berrien Springs, Michigan. Tony was called home to be with the Lord on July 23, 2021. Tony attended Westland High School, where he was one of the stars on the basketball team. He was a self-made entrepreneur and loved spending his time finding new avenues to make money. Antonio's life was short lived but it was illuminated by truth, love, connection and fullness. Tony was a special soul. One that lit up the room with his infections smile and his dimples that couldn't be missed, and his unique cackling laugh that you could hear a mile away. Tony was known for sliding through "Ma Dukes" place, to pick up his twelve to go plates and confirm with mom in front of everyone that she made the family meal just for him and everyone else was just extras. His presence was known in any room he stepped in. We want to remember his cool laid-back nature, his strength, courage, and his nurturing and understanding spirit. Tony leaves to cherish his memory with his many loved ones; his parents, Patty and Ellis Martin, his father, Antonio L. Washington. His children Antonio Washington III, Anijia Ligea, Tanyia Liche, Abagail Lynette, Bryson and Alaia. Grandmothers Minerva Drake-Lassie and Maggie Hines. His sisters Jemekea Norman, Shemekea Sanchez, Teayrra Broyles and Tacarra Broyles-Jones, Temekea Carter, Lemekea Washington, Kemekea (Michael) Vineyard-Sherman, and Charmekea Martin; His Brothers Ellis Banks, Jeremiah (Kiara)Washington, Torsha Martin. His special Great uncle Raymond (Kricket) and aunt Diane Walker and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Tony is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Willie Edward Ross, paternal grandparents, Booker T. and Lovie Washington. Great-grandmother, Annie Mae Drake and nephew, Dwight Anson Williams Jr. Tony loved and lived for his children and family. Tony enjoyed spending time with his loved ones and making everyone laugh. Tony had a gravitational pull and a positive aura and made everyone he encountered want to be in his presence. Everyone genuinely loved being around him. Tony will be deeply missed by everyone Tony was a provider, a protector, and a peacemaker. Everyone who knew Tony had a special connection and relationship with him. He could make you smile, cry and laugh all within a matter of seconds depending on what the situation called for. He was our protector on earth but he is now our Angel in heaven. Tony will forever be missed and loved deeply.
